Peculiarity of these odds is that they imply a bet on 2 others at the same time, the arithmetic average of which represents a special initial head start. Such an unusual, at first glance, type of bet is called Asian handicap. The handicap in a match for this or that team means that from the very beginning a team has some advantage or lag in a score. In betting shops the odds for obvious favorites are often overestimated. And if you don’t want to put on greater winning odds of an explicit outsider of a game (a weaker team), being confident for some reason in not such confident winning of the favorite, put on a positive outsider’s handicap. This is the main feature of the bet on positive odds.
What is waiting for a capper, who put on the Away 2.75 handicap? Consider the following examples:
- If a match ends with the score 6:2 (or with an even greater advantage of a home team), both bets don’t pass: with the Away +2.5 handicap, the score is 6:4.5, and with the Away +3 handicap — 6:5. As a result, a complete loss of money delivered;
- If a match ended with the score 5:2 (with any advantage of hosts exactly in 3 balls), then taking into account the handicap it’s 5:5 and 5:4.5. That is, one half of the original bet isn’t lost at least, and the other is lost. As a result — a partial loss;
- If a match is over with the score 5:3 (or with a smaller goal/point reserve of hosts), then a capper will be the most successful, as both handicaps pass (we get 5:6 and 5:5.5).
